September 29-30, 2021
The University of Chicago invites applications for its first annual “Quantum Creators Prize Symposium”, which will recognize the achievements of early career researchers in the broad areas of Quantum Science and Engineering. The symposium will take place on September 29-30, 2021 and will be held virtually.
The symposium is intended to promote early-career researchers working in exciting new directions of quantum science. Another goal is to increase the diversity of researchers in the field; we particularly welcome applications and nominations from researchers who come from under-represented groups. Those selected to participate in the symposium will receive an honorarium and a prize certificate.
How to Apply:
Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows from any institution who wish to be considered for the Quantum Creators Prize Symposium should submit the following information by August 15, 2021 to Eileen Sheu (firstname.lastname@example.org): (1) a C.V., (2) a brief research statement (500 words) outlining research interests and achievements, and (3) a brief personal statement (300 words) describing your vision for a future career in STEM research/education and how it has been shaped by your own perspectives and experiences working in the STEM research/education community. Applicants should also request a recommendation letter from an advisor to be emailed separately to Eileen Sheu (email@example.com) with the subject line “Recommendation letter for (Applicant first and last name)”
