Quantum science and technology is one of the future’s most exciting fields. But this technical area of research can be super hard to understand.
At 10 a.m. on Friday, May 22, two Chicago Quantum Exchange researchers will break it down for all of us, explaining quantum science, some of the field’s different areas of research, and how the resulting technologies might impact our lives. This event is a session of Argonne Live! a virtual STEM Outreach program dedicated to connecting middle school and high school students with Argonne research staff and University of Chicago graduate students virtually.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign professor Brian Leeds DeMarco, and University of Chicago Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering graduate student Elena Glen will chat with Argonne Education Outreach Lead Jessica Burgess about these topics, their research, and their career journeys to date.
This event is targeted toward high school students but is available to the interested public. Learn more about how to join
